Application Instructions

Applications for small community grants should be made by email to

parishclerk@uptonpyne-pc.gov.uk

and should include the following information:

  • Brief description of the project to be funded
  • How much is requested (max £500)
  • Estimated timeline for when the funds will be spent
  • Estimated breakdown of how the funds will spent
  • Explanation of how spending will be evidenced to parish council (receipts etc)
  • Brief description of intended outcomes, and how this will benefit the community. 
Priority will be given to grant applications that align with one or more of the parish priorities below:

Improving safety - Health and wellbeing of residents - Promoting a greener Parish - Enhancing community life - Providing educational opportunities 


 


Example Application

Application for community grant:

  •  This project is for funding for a one-off working party of volunteers to maintain the churchyard.
  • We need a grant of £90
  • The working party will take place on Sep 1st 2025
  • Funds will be spent on fuel for strimmers and lawnmowers -£10 (equipment provided by volunteers),  replacement strimmer wire -£10,  hot and cold drinks and biscuits/light refreshments for volunteers -£25, gardening gloves and PPE (face shield for strimmer) -£45.  Gloves and face shield will be available for future working parties.
  • Receipts will be provided for everything purchased.
  • The churchyard is an important heritage site for the village and needs to be maintained so that it can be enjoyed. Before and after photos will be taken and sent to parish council who can include it in Speke Up or display on notice boards.
